“Facilitation Skills for Development”, sponsored once again by ChildHope, ran for the 19th time in September 2011. Please contact me if you would like to be added to the list for the next course (date and location as yet undecided but hopefully new year 2012). When I have enough people to run the course (min 12) I contact everyone and try to find a mutually convenient date.

This two-day course was originally developed for BOND and has run inhouse for Tearfund, The Partnering Initiative, CARE UK, WaterAid, BOND and ChildHope UK. The evaluation feedback from the September 2011 course can be found here:

Learning & Change

A 1-3 day course to enable participants to:
 Understand organisational learning and its application to your particular organisation.Practice and apply tools such as peer and action learning, communities of practice and learning and review.Understand how change happens in organisations and programme delivery and work with it more effectively.

This 3 day course ran for senior programme staff in Oxfam Nairobi in October 09; shorter similar days have been offered in other organisations.

Working with complexity

 What is complexity?How can understanding it help us manage our organisations better and plan more effectively for uncertain futures?How can we ask the correct simple questions to take us to the heart of complex situations and challenges?What kind of leadership and management style is best for complex challenges and environments?
